Worship The Sunday morning worship experience at Immanuel is shaped by our understanding of the need for the people of God to gather together to offer praise for the majesty and power of God. Worship at Immanuel includes this recognition as well as realizing our need of God’s forgiveness, listening to the word of God, and responding to the invitation of God. Throughout the church year, our scriptural focus is shaped by the new revised lectionary rhythm of texts. Our services are enriched by choral and instrumental music which amplifies this focus on scripture. As we mark the church year, our services are planned to experience seasons of expectation and remembrance. From the Service of Darkness on Good Friday to the Service of Lessons and Carols on Christmas Eve, the congregation which gathers at Immanuel seeks strength, instruction, and comfort from the shared service of the Word. Throughout the year, people of all ages and talents give leadership in worship. Our shared life with the Vietnamese congregation at Immanuel is celebrated yearly in worship and fellowship events. May God give you grace never to sell yourself short; So may God take your minds and think through them; Through the power of God who created us,
