Sermon Title:

The Weather Report

I made a pastoral visit last week to meet our newest church family member, McCall Self. He was not even a week old, but he was happy to see me. He is handsome and fits nicely in two large hands.
The visit was refreshing in several aspects. I had just come from seeing one of our nonagenarian members whose health these days is fragile. Like a newborn, he too is dependent upon others for his daily needs. Although I did not hold this gracious gentleman in my arms, I did tenderly grasp his hand when we prayed and thus felt his life force.
