November: A Month of Gratitude

During the month of November, we have multiple opportunities to express our gratitude to God by serving those on the margins of society.

  • Help us host Room in the Inn on Thursday, November 5, or Thursday, November 19. Sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board near the parlor.
  • Prepare a “Welcome to America” basket that World Relief Nashville will deliver to a refugee family during the week of Thanksgiving. For more details, read the "Welcome to America" Project news article on our website. Baskets must be dropped off at the office by Sunday, November 22.
  • Donate a new, unwrapped toy to the Nashville Baptist Association Toy Store. Collection boxes can be found outside the office and near Fellowship Hall. The deadline for bringing toys is Sunday, November 29.
  • Adopt a Nurses for Newborns angel from the angel tree in Fellowship Hall. The deadline for returning the wrapped gifts for your angel to the Christmas tree is Sunday, November 29.
  • Bring bags of egg noodles on Ingathering Sunday on November 22 to donate to Luke 14:12.
  • Serve lunch at Luke 14:12 with other volunteers from Immanuel on Tuesday, November 24.
  • Visit the residents/patients at Nashville Community Care and Rehabilitation Center at Bordeaux on Wednesday, November 25.
  • Run or walk in the Boulevard Bolt on Thanksgiving Day.

How will you express your gratitude to God this month?
