Operation Inasmuch - April 18

For the past decade, our congregation has observed an annual morning devoted to missions and ministry called Operation Inasmuch. The name for this event is drawn from Matthew 25 (KJV): "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” This year Operation Inasmuch will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. You have the opportunity to choose from six projects:
  • Visit patients at Nashville Community Care & Rehabilitation at Bordeaux (Project Leader: Patty Littlejohn)
  • Host a carnival for the mothers and children living at the Freedom Recovery Community (Project Leader: Tambi Swiney)
  • Work in the Nashville Food Project garden (Project Leader: Steven Meriwether)
  • Volunteer at Siloam Family Health Center (Project Leader: Dorothy Steen)
  • Deliver goodies to Immanuel’s homebound members (Project Leader: Billie Patton)
  • Spruce up our church building (Project Leaders: Betty Kay Wasserman and Laurie Woods)
All projects except Siloam are open to youth and children. Childcare will be provided at the church for preschoolers, but reservations are required. Sign up sheets for the various projects will be posted on the bulletin board near the parlor beginning on Sunday, March 22. How will you serve the least of these in our community on April 18?
