Operation Inasmuch Registration is Underway

During the week of April 18-25, we will have a variety of opportunities to carry out our mission to wholeheartedly serve those on the margins of society through our observance of Operation Inasmuch. Registration is now underway, with sign up sheets posted on the bulletin board near the parlor. Here’s the schedule of events:
 
Wednesday, April 18 - Guest speaker from one of our ministry partners - Amy Dodson-Watts, executive director of Luke 14:12 - at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel
 
Saturday, April 21 - Three ministry projects
- Visit the residents at Nashville Community Care and Rehabilitation Center at Bordeaux from 9:00-11:00 .m.
- Work in The Nashville Food Project’s Wedgewood garden from 10:00 a.m. until Noon (must be 8 or older)
- Prepare food for distribution in The Nashville Food Project’s Woodmont kitchen from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (must be 12 or older)
 
Sunday, April 22 - Ingathering Sunday and afternoon ministry project
- Bring bags of egg noodles to worship to donate to Luke 14:12
- Bring a sack lunch and stay after church to participate in the Siloam Health project by decorating sacks that will be distributed to refugees
 
Tuesday, April 24 - Serve lunch at Luke 14:12 from 11:15 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
 
Wednesday, April 25 - Slideshow and reflections from the week after the April Business Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel
 
In the weeks leading up to Operation Inasmuch, we are collecting jars of gummy children's vitamins to donate to Siloam Family Health Center and jewelry, scarves, and baseball caps to distribute to the residents at Nashville Community Care and Rehabilitation at Bordeaux.
