Listening to Children on the Spiritual Journey

How can we nurture the faith of the children whom God has entrusted into our care at Immanuel? On the first two Wednesday nights in August, we will consider how the entire congregation is called to partner with our young families to plant and cultivate seeds of faith in the lives of our children. In order to thrive spiritually, children need to form deep connections with others within an intergenerational community of faith. In their book Listening to Children on the Spiritual Journey, Catherine Stonehouse and Scottie May write, "Children and adults are copligrims sharing a journey and learning from each other." The children of Immanuel need us to model discipleship for them and walk alongside them on their spiritual journeys. I hope you will join me in Fellowship at 6:15 on August 6 and 13 and we explore how we can navigate this journey together. - Pastor Tambi
