Green Bean Drop

On Saturday, July 2, Immanuel Baptist Church will partner with the Society of St. Andrew to host a unique, intergenerational ministry project. The mission of the Society of St. Andrew intersects with Immanuel’s mission: The Society seeks to introduce people to God’s grace in Jesus Christ through meeting their hungers, and Immanuel seeks to wholeheartedly serve those on the margins of society by feeding the hungry. A dump truck will deliver a load of green beans from Crossville to the church parking lot. After the beans have been dumped, volunteers will put them into bags. Throughout the morning, local feeding agencies will pick up the bags of beans for distribution to our hungry neighbors. Volunteers of all ages are needed to bag the green beans from 9:00 a.m. until noon. This activity is well suited for families with children, since children can take playground and snack breaks as needed. If your family can help with the green bean drop, contact Pastor Tambi at
