Family Mission Trip

At Blue Monarch, mothers with a history of addiction and/or abuse can live on a 50-acre farm at the foot of Monteagle Mountain with their children and get the help they need to break vicious cycles as they seek to rebuild their families. Founded in 2003 by former Immanuel member Susan Binkley, this ministry has served over 600 women and children. Many of the women in the program have gained valuable work experience by helping to make the Out of the Blue Granola that is produced in Blue Monarch’s industrial kitchen and distributed nationally by Whole Foods and Kroger.

This summer young families will have the opportunity to participate in an overnight mission trip to interact with the mothers and children at Blue Monarch on July 15-16. Immanuel's mission team of children, parents, and grandparents will spend the night at the Holiday Inn Express in Manchester on Friday night, before hosting a literacy-themed event on Saturday morning. Our team will have lunch with the residents after the event; we will return home to Nashville in the afternoon.

Families will be responsible for paying for their lodging and dinner on Friday night. A free breakfast will be available in the hotel on Saturday morning. If your family is interested in participating in this mission trip, contact Pastor Tambi at tswiney@ibcnashville.org.
