In a survey we conducted recently, one of the things people listed that they love about Immanuel is our fellowship. We like to gather—especially if there is food! We have a weekly Wednesday night supper and family time where we can share prayer requests and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with each other. Sunday school classes have parties throughout the year, and various groups in the church gather during the week to spend time together. Also, we have dinner groups called Hearthsiders which meet once a month for three months during the year. Groups of eight or more adults share covered dishes at members' homes. The groups rotate, so everyone gets to know each other better.
Current and former members have looked forward to our Labor Day Picnic for 55 years! On the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend we gather to eat, play volleyball, and visit. Everyone is encouraged to bring friends and family.
We find a reason to have big fun with each other at least once a season. In the spring, it's Women of Immanuel Day. In the summer, it's Water Night & Ice Cream Party. In the fall, it's the Fall Festival. And in the winter, it's the Advent Party.

You'll see Associate Pastor Alan Sherouse getting a much-needed shave from church member Sid Maddox. It was a fund-raiser for our Youth and part of the good fellowship that abounds at Immanuel. Needless to say it was highlight of this year's Labor Day Picnic.
